What this platform does not do
Impromptu Date does not verify identities and does not run background checks. Those systems are not connected during this pre-beta. Nobody here has been screened, and no label in the application means a person is safe. Treat every member as someone you have not yet met — because that is exactly what they are.
Before you go
- Meet in a public place with staff and other people around.
- Never meet at anyone’s home, and never share your home address.
- Tell a friend where you are going, with whom, and when you expect to be back.
- Arrange your own transport there and back.
- Keep the conversation on the platform until you are comfortable.
While you are there
- Keep your phone charged and with you.
- Watch your own drink; do not accept one you did not see poured.
- Do not share financial information or send money, for any reason.
- You may leave at any moment, without an explanation and without apology. No outing obliges you to stay.
Afterwards
Mark whether the outing happened when the application asks. If anything felt wrong, use Block and Report. Reporting is confidential and costs you nothing.
Emergencies
Impromptu Date is not an emergency service and cannot intervene in real time. If you are in danger, call your local emergency number (911 in the United States) first, then report it to us so we can act on the account.
